Overview
At Rambøll I worked as a UX&UI Designer on two major platforms: SurveyXact - a powerful survey and analytics tool, and Heart&Mind - a digital system used in schools and kindergartens. My main focus was on simplifying highly complex systems - from advanced data reporting and survey-building tools to everyday communication features for teachers and parents. I worked on a wide range of features, including report builders, dashboards, login flows, and collaborative tools, always aiming to make them intuitive and accessible for different user groups. These projects gave me the chance to balance deep UX work with visual design, creating solutions that felt clear and user-friendly while still supporting complex functionality.
Design Process
My process was research-driven. I created personas and user journey maps to understand the needs of different groups: teachers, parents, and administrators. This helped uncover pain points, align the team and set a clear direction for design. I then moved into prototyping in Adobe XD, building detailed interactive flows to test ideas early and validate solutions with both users and stakeholders. Alongside UX work, I also designed the UI - making sure complex interactions, like survey logic or report generation were easy to follow and visually clear. Collaboration was a big part of my role. I worked closely with developers and product owners to make sure designs were both practical to build and easy to use. Alongside UX and UI, I also worked on the visual side of the product, creating icons, layouts, and illustrations that helped give the platforms a clear and consistent identity.
Lessons Learned
This experience taught me how to translate technical complexity into simple, effective solutions, while working in a cross-functional team environment. Due to GDPR, I can't share the full scope of this project here, but I'd be happy to share more details in a personal conversation.
